hello friends,
Where will you be August 4-6? I will be walking....20 miles each day. I'm doing the Susan G. Komen walk for breast cancer.
I've promised to raise $2,200. I already have $1,614!
Not to be too self-rightous, but I am pretty proud of myself.
I'm almost there...but to meet my goal I need your help.
I know that none of us have a ton of money. We're in college or recently out of college, trying to make ends meet. I know how hard it is.
But this is for a really good cause. Anything you can give is a great help to the women and men it goes to help save. $5,$10,$20... do what you can.
Make a difference. Help me meet my goal, and help put an end to this disease.

today was really good. but now im bored
woke up
matt and i had eggs
i had avocado on toast, he had just toast.
went to dtx, found pretty dress for grad party at filenes basement.
bought new skinny girl pants and sweatshirt at filenes ---sad.
went to tailor to get zipper fixed.
came home, hung out with haley, made lunch.
my mouth is still on fire.
but its really good - my new im not an indian recipe for indian food.
tonight steve and i are hanging out, then going to the boat cruise.
wee!
im excited, but i want a job. i don tknow. maybe im not ready to be an adult. |

Wow.
It's ironic that in this one time that I am supposed to remember and embrace every moment and person I've enjoyed over the past 4 years...
my phone breaks.
So I can't even contact them.

This is strange..this done with college feeling.
I don't know if I want to deal with or think about the fact that I ahve to try on my cap and gown and walk across the aisle having no plan or no ideas about my future. It's what I've dreaded...here it is.

so i have decided to begin writing in this again.
blogs are fun.
i went to dc with becca this weekend, fun stuff. We had tappas last night and rosé sangria which i had never had before but is totally delightful. Its all the rum/vodka queer stuff in normal sangria, but instead of red wine it's rosé champagne and instead of apples it's strawberries.
man that rules. plus i got eggplant flan, which tasted much better than the cat food it looked like.
I am listening to Ashlee Simpson right now. I think, just maybe, cheesy pop is the best type of music...becuase whatever mood you are in and hwatever you think you want to listen to you can always rock out to "Autobiograpy."
Working on my aircheck, as it comes closer to together I get less and less nervous about my future existence. Problem is, I still don't know where I want to go or what I want to do. But there is both space and time for that.
Back to Ashlee, rachel radio, and Henry homework.

how surreal, that three days from now this place i've called home for so long will no longer be that.
I still remember the day I pulled up, bright and early, and carried all my shit up the stupid three flights of stairs into my new home.
So many hopes and aspirations. Pipe dreams? Who knows.
Either way, I've done some fun stuff and am a little sad to see this hellish dirty town go.

Overall, I've been nice (60 points). For Christmas I deserve a pony!

SO THE Harvard endowment grew 19 percent and is now up to $25.9 billion. Oh, what the heck, let's just say $26 billion. After all, what's a measly $100 million?
Actually, $26 billion is a lot of money -- no, it's an obscene amount of money. Seriously, how do you make $26 billion without cheating someone along the way?
For the sake of full disclosure, I am an ex-employee of Harvard Business School, but I assure you there are no hard feelings, even though they did make me pay to park in their huge employee parking lot. But that was back when they only had a shaky $19 billion, not like today.
And today is about spending. I thought I would help by offering my top 10 suggestions for using all that money:
10. Reimburse taxpayers for the Big Dig.
9. Buy Belgium.
8. Purchase a single family home in Greater Boston.
7. Give every one of the 37 million Americans living in poverty a check for $702.70 -- and nonprofit status (just like fair Harvard).
6. End the ''temporary" tolls on the Mass Pike.
5. Buy and immediately dissolve the Yankees.
4. Post a $1 billion reward for Whitey Bulger; bet he'd turn up in less than a week.
3. Segways for everyone!
2. Free universal healthcare for all Massachusetts residents.
1. Reimburse me for the 2,300 bucks I spent over the years to park in the employee parking lot at the Harvard Business School.
Seriously, my family needs the money.

this story is mostly for adam mann, but really it's for everyone.
Matisyahu is a hasidic reggae guy. He was supposed to come to Indie yesterday, but he was sick. So Liz and Stacey and Chuck were stiting there talking about matisyahu.
liz: well, benjamin netanyahu had yahu in his name, may be that means something.
chuck: yeah, i guess. but it could just be a coincidence.
me, from two cubicles over: MATISYAHU IS A NAME. IT MEANS MATTHEW!!!!!
wow. rediculous.
but really, my job is the shit. I did loads and loads of stuff. Monday I'm making 80 cold calls, I'm really excited. I hope that i make that station loads of fing money. |
